Getting Here & Travel Info
By Train

Canterbury Live is a 20-minute walk from Canterbury East and a 35 minute walk from Canterbury West station. Southeastern has a variety of ways to save, including Kids for a Quid and GroupSave tickets. Plus, you pay no booking fees when you buy directly with Southeastern.

By Car

There is no public parking available at St Lawrence Ground for Canterbury Summertime Live. We strongly advise all customers travelling by car to use the Canterbury Park & Ride service located just a short distance from the venue.

The Park & Ride offers affordable all-day parking and regular bus connections into Canterbury city centre. From there, it’s roughly a 10–15 minute walk to The Spitfire Ground.

Nearest Park & Ride:

  • New Dover Road Park & Ride  – ideal for easy access to the venue.
  • Pre-book your parking ticket here
  • Buses run every few minutes throughout the day and evening.
  • Please check local timetables closer to the event for extended operating hours.

We encourage all guests to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and consider car sharing, public transport, or taxis where possible.

By Bus & Taxi

Regular buses operate to Canterbury city centre, which is a short walk or taxi ride to the venue. A dedicated taxi drop-off and pick-up point will be signposted outside the main entrance by Sainsbury’s Local.

Accessibility

What are accessible tickets?
Accessible tickets are designed for guests who require additional support to enjoy the event comfortably. These tickets include access to dedicated facilities and services.

What does an accessible ticket include?Accessible tickets include:

  • Separate, easy-access entry to the venue
  • Easy access to the accessible viewing platform
  • Access to accessible toilets
  • Close access to bar with staff available for drinks orders

Who are accessible tickets for?
Accessible tickets are available for attendees with disabilities or access requirements who may benefit from step-free access, seating or designated viewing areas.

Do accessible tickets cost more?
Accessible tickets are priced the same as standard general admission tickets.

Can I bring a companion or carer?
If companion or carer tickets are required please email custcare@skiddle.com, the Skiddle team will carry out an eligibility check and supply you with a unique code to access a complimentary carer ticket

Tickets & Entry
  • Each event has its own opening time please check event pages separately for more information.
  • Please arrive early to allow time for security checks and ticket scanning.
  • Last entry will be strictly enforced, late arrivals may be refused entry.
  • Tickets can be shown on your phone or printed, ensure the barcode is visible and not damaged.

Re-entry is not permitted once you’ve entered the arena, so please make sure you have everything you need before going through security.

What You Can & Can’t Bring

To keep everyone safe and ensure smooth entry, please take note of the following:

Allowed
  • Small bags (no larger than A4 size)
  • Sealed 500ml bottle of water or an empty reusable bottle
  • Blankets for sitting on the grass
  • Sunscreen, hats, ponchos, and weather-appropriate clothing
  • Personal medication (with proof of prescription if required)
Not Allowed
  • Large bags or suitcases
  • Camping or folding chairs (unless in the accessible area)
  • Umbrellas, glass bottles, or cans
  • Outside food or drink (other than sealed water)
  • Drones, flares, fireworks, or smoke bombs
  • Professional camera or recording equipment
  • Illegal substances or “legal highs” (zero-tolerance policy)

Security searches will be carried out on all bags and persons entering the site.

Food & Drink

A wide variety of street-food traders and fully licensed bars will be available throughout the event. Expect great local and international vendors.

Please note:

  • No food or drink may be brought into the venue.
  • Free drinking water stations will be available – bring a reusable bottle to refill.
  • All bars will operate Challenge 25 
Cash & Payments

The event operates as a cashless site. Most bars and food outlets accept card and contactless payments. 

Weather & What to Wear

Canterbury Live is an outdoor event, please check the weather forecast before you travel.

  • Bring waterproofs or a poncho if rain is forecast (umbrellas are not allowed).
  • In hot weather, bring sun protection, hats, and stay hydrated at the water points.
On-Site Facilities
  • Toilets: Standard and accessible toilets are available around the site.
  • First Aid & Welfare: Staffed throughout the event; medication storage available if needed.
  • Drinking Water: Free refill points will be clearly signposted.
  • Box Office: Open from 30 minutes before gates open

Lost Property: Hand in or enquire at Welfare/First Aid during the event, or email lostproperty@canterburylive.uk after the show.

Age Policy

Each concert has It’s own age policy, please check each individual event for more information.

Re-Entry & Leaving the Site

Once you’ve entered the arena, you cannot leave and re-enter.
If you have a genuine reason to leave (e.g., medical), please speak to the Event Control or Welfare team who will assist where possible.

Safety & Security

We work closely with local authorities and experienced event security to ensure a safe environment. Random searches and ID checks will take place at the entrance. Anyone found with illegal items or substances will be refused entry and may be handed to the police.

Guestlist & Ticket Queries

If you’re on a guestlist or have a complimentary ticket, please head to the Box Office at the main entrance with photo ID. For general ticket questions, please contact your ticket provider directly.
